Ataaka couldn’t mention DJ Carlos's name in his 2022 review because of Banku. Says by MR. Tell (Adugalli)
As we all know, this is one of the most interesting moments in the history of music from the northern part of Ghana, as the two Tamale-based giant hip-hop rappers Maccasio and Ataaka engaged in a serious lyrical battle. Two months ago, the award-winning rapper and the biggest rapper among them, "Maccasio," trolled a challenge to some of his colleagues, including Tamale-based rappers "Ataaka & Double Tee," and even added a singer named "Fancy Gadam" to the challenge. Just one week ago, hip-hop rapper Yakubu Issah, also known as "Ataaka" couldn’t take it anymore and came out with a reply to "Maccasio". That’s how the lyrical battle between the two well-branded rappers started.
In the late hours of yesterday, May 22nd, 2023, The Rapper Maccasio went for a radio interview at one of the most popular radio stations up here (North) on the "Bugum Beni" Shows hosted by the controversial and most popular presenter Halik Musah, popularly known as "Mr. Tell" Alias "Adugalli". The presenter, Mr. Tell, too, seems very angry at Ataaka for tagging him as drunk in his reply. Mr. Tell said Ataaka mentioned his name more than seven times in his 2022 review and failed to mention DJ Carlos’s name because he once bought Banku for him.
