New details of Christian Eriksen’s future in football revealed by Italian medic

Christian Eriksen is unlikely to be able to play in Italy anymore after a defibrillator was installed into his body to prevent him from suffering another heart attack.

The Italian Football Associationэs member Francesco Braconaro told Radio Kiss Kiss: "Eriksen will not be allowed to play in Italy. Only if he has the defibrillator removed and a specialist can prove that the problem can be solved without the device, will he be able to play for Inter again."

In Italy, the rules are stricter than other European leagues when it comes to allowing players with heart conditions to play. Ajax defender Daley Blind has a defibrillator instilled in his body, but has been allowed to play in Eredivise even after suffering a heart attack last year.

Eriksen has not given any indication towards retiring from football after suffering the shocking heart attack in Denmark's Euro 2020 opener and might have to move away from Inter Milan if he wants to keep playing with a defibrillator.
